Kindergarten & Preschool

Children who are 3, 4, or 5 years of age before September 1 are eligible for K3, K4, and K5 respectively. Parents may select a half-day (8:00am to 12:30pm) or a full-day (8:00am-2:55pm) program for their child. School Kindergarten children may be checked in to early care between 7:00 and 7:45 at no additional charge if necessary. We also offer fee-based aftercare from 2:55pm-5:30pm for full-day students.

Tuscaloosa Christian School’s kindergarten has a strong academic program. The curriculum is a combination of A Beka and BJU Press. Beginning with our students in K4, an intensive phonics-based program is used to teach reading. Our K5 groups have tested at the 99th percentile nationally for the last several years. All academics are taught in the morning. If you choose for your kindergarten child to stay all day, they will eat lunch, have a rest time, and participate in enrichment activities for the rest of the afternoon.
