Accreditation
Tuscaloosa Christian School is accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED/SACS), the largest accrediting association in the world. “Accrediting” is the process whereby an educational association grants public recognition to a school meeting certain established qualifications and standards as determined by periodic evaluations. The essential purpose is to provide a professional judgment as to the quality of a school and its programs and thereafter encourage continual school improvement.
Tuscaloosa Christian School is also an associate, academic member of the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA). AISA facilitates accreditation reviews for TCS. TCS meets or exceeds all AISA standards for membership and accreditation.
Tuscaloosa Christian School is proud to be a long-standing member of the Alabama Christian Education Association (ACEA). Within ACEA, we are also a member of the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS), which has a membership of over 900 schools. TCS participates in sports, fine arts, and academic competition within ACEA.
